ComETS Seminar: Google Wave Demonstration

Friday, November 13, Noon - 1 pm, Durham 206

Some of our ISU colleagues have been included in the preview release of Google Wave, and are already experimenting with it. Come on November 13 to see it in action, demonstrated by Jeff Sorensen, IT Services, and John Schultz, senior in MIS. A few other Wavers will be in attendance, too. If you're not sure what Google Wave is, here's the definition from Wikipedia:

Google Wave is "a personal communication and collaboration tool" announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009. It is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking. Initially released only to developers, a "preview release" of Google Wave has been extended to about 600,000 users since September 30, 2009.

Please feel free to bring your lunch to Durham 206 at Noon on November 13. No registration is required. Also, let us know if you're one of the fortunate Wave account owners -- we'd like to Wave together.
